ERIC COPELAND
SLIPPER
MARAL
ZEBULON
Black Dice’s Eric Copeland swings through town from NYC on July 15th for an all-too-rare L.A. airing of his deconstructed pop and groove inventions ✨ Plus Slipper – the standout solo project of Chloé Maratta (of Odwalla88) – and Maral’s signature dub and crunchy beats. A feast!
The sole NYC-based member of Black Dice, Eric Copeland swoops in for his first solo show in L.A. in 5 years…
“Copeland continues on his path of deconstruction forming tracks of scrapped samples, damaged loops, and controlled chaos… avant-pop tracks packed with playful sequences, groovy bass lines, and catchy voiceovers”- les albums claus
Chloé Marrata – formerly one half of the heroic sui generis DIY duo Odwalla1221 – shares her solo project, Slipper. Within, Maratta continues to explore an intuitive and intimate sample based language, a perfect match for her own idiosyncratic vocal style and sassy aesthetics.
Maral is a prolific L.A. producer and performer who pulls the fabric of Persian sonics into a mix of crunchy beats and groovy dub, creating a wondrous place found not too far from Muslimgauze on any heads’ psychogeographic map.
