Thursday January 23rd German electronic music and dub techno pioneer
Moritz von Oswald comes to L.A. for a special solo performance to
sharing his latest cycle: Akklamation.
Rooted in experimentalism – and using his trademark dub techniques and live processing – Oswald has been creating an ‘electronics focused ambient performance’ replete with psychedelic ricochets of sound.
This work ties together the many threads of his output – from the ‘Berlin Sound’ he helped devise as member of Basic Channel and Rhythm & Sound, to improvisations with Moritz von Oswald Trio, and his ongoing collaborations with the likes of Juan Atkins and Rashad Becker – revealing the nature of all as parts of an ongoing and adventurous practice.
