Night Three of PSYCHO JAZZ IN L.A.
Curated by Wolf Eyes and Tim Leanse

Wolf Eyes (Detroit, MI - Lower Floor Music)

Wolf Eyes have decrypted lower floors of consciousness, transmuting the shadow world into a dank audio cosmos. Still-primal, their existential tension always finds new escape hatches via basement tactics loose and free. The band arrives in town for PSYCHO JAZZ IN L.A. appearing for the first time on the west coast as four-piece with member MV Carbon contributing cello and electronics to their psychic lurch. In an era of harsh vibes and confusion, this epic art rock unit finds connection in the chaos.

FlucT (Brooklyn, NY - Otion Front Studio / Daata Editions)

FlucT is the radical motion collaboration of Monica Mirabile and Sigrid Lauren. Violently intimate dance that gli-gli-glitches the signal of the culture machine. Their radical choreography and exorcism shake play out to soundscapes of their own devise – doses of pop psychosis. "Their confrontational performance of femininity drags the viewer through a hall of mirrors" -FADER

Flaccid Mojo

Bjorn and Aaron from Black Dice let their sandbox spill into the live realm, a zone of total vibe and discovery. Their relentless, infectious momentum is a launch pad for first-time moves and real-time psychedelic collage, matched and wrapped in the rapid fire technicolor visuals of Dice vid wiz Danny Perez.

Odwalla 1221

Speaking songs along drumstick trigger samples of whatever they wanna, this couple of sassy aesthetes push poetry and punk gesture, sounding off on body politics with a proximate pop appeal and just enough anti- to keep it in check. Odwalla1221 has been pressed to vinyl by Some Ware, Big Love, Ooga Booga and Thunderzone.

Lexie Mountain (Baltimore, MD)

Ringleader and namesake of the reality intervention parade called Lexie Mountain Boys, this dame of the weird has also cut her tongue with the Howling Hex and the Scroll Downers. On this auspicious Fryday, she makes her first billed comedy appearance in the City of Angels.
